The Hurstville Fishing Pond is a 2 acres borrow pit stocked with bluegill, catfish and large mouth bass. Dock is handicapped accessible and there is an outdoor shelter located off the parking lot. The pond is a short distance from the parking lot and is handicap accessible. Cast your line from the dock or along the bank. And don’t forget a picnic lunch to enjoy in the new picnic shelter on site!
Free Fishing Clinic is held here the first Saturday of June each year.
Location
Hurstville Fishing Pond is located 1 mile north of Maquoketa on Highway 61, turn west on 63rd Street, then turn north and follow lane to parking lot. The Hurstville Pond is located on the west side of Highway 61, opposite the Hurstville Interpretive Center.
