Camping Camping at F.W. Kent Park
F.W. Kent Park is home to a 86 site family campground and a youth group camp with 5 large campsite designated for youth group usage.

The 86 site family campground has 50 amp electrically hook-up, Wi-Fi, storm shelter, playground, an available dump station and fire wood sales.  Campground attendants are on staff to assist campers.  Campers have access to the 27 acre Kent Park Lake and several small fishing ponds found throughout F.W. Kent Park.  The beach located on the lake is free and swim at your our risk (no lifeguards provided).  The campground is regularly patrolled by park rangers.
Camping Camping at Hills Access
Hills Access is a river front campground on the Iowa River.  The campground includes 18 campsites including 7 pull through campsites can accommodate 120' campers.  Thirteen of these sites are 50 amp electrical sites and 5 of the sites are primitive sites.  The electrical sites are $15 and include electrical hook-up, a picnic table and fire ring.  The primitive sites are $10 and include a table and fire ring.

Primitive camping on the Iowa River.  Twelve primitive campgrounds with fire rings.  $10 per site.
Education Education at Conservation Education Center - F.W. Kent Park
The Conservation Education Center at F.W. Kent Park is the base for the Johnson County Conservation Board Program.  Please contact the county naturalist to learn more about educational programs at (319) 645-1011
Facility Rentals Facility Rentals at F.W. Kent Park
F.W. Kent Park has 4 shelters available for rental.  No electricity or water is available at the shelters.  Pit toilets are available near by.
These shelters are popular for weddings, family reunions and picnics. 

Blue Bird Shelter - 90 person maximum capacity
Deer Run Shelter - 90 person maximum capacity
Bob White Shelter - 120 person maximum capacity
Red Haw Shelter - 150 maximum capacity

There are several additional shelters that are available on a first come first served basis.

Fishing Fishing at Hills Access
Hills Access has excellent fishing access to the Iowa River.  The Iowa River is an excellent site to fish for catfish.

Two Horse Farm Airbnb

Two Horse Farm is an 83-acre park which was a family farm in the 1900s. Several original buildings on site immerse the visitor in that history.

From the time you turn onto the long private drive winding through the woods up the hill to the beautiful historic home, you will feel the stress of daily life fade away.

A 7-acre circle in the center of the original 90 acres farm was donated to the Iowa Tribe of Nebraska and Kansas.

The home features one bedroom and full bathroom on the first level with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a spa tub room on the second floor. The oversized kitchen has state of the art appliances and a large island making it perfect for cooking and entertaining. There are large windows allowing a great view of the gardens and woods while providing natural light throughout the home.

Whether you are hiking the surrounding woods, enjoying the lush gardens, sitting in the sun-room, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay and leave feeling renewed.

Ice fish at the main lake at F.W. Kent Park or any of the numerous small ponds located in the easterly valley of F.W. Kent Park, beginning with the Conservation Education Center Pond, apply named from it's proximity east of the Conservation Education Center.
