Photo Contest by the Friends of Johnson County Conservation

The Friends of Johnson County Conservation and University Camera are excited to be sponsoring another year of the JCC Photo Contest! 

 Photo Contest Rules:

• Photos subjects can be: “Nature” and “People in Nature.” 
• Photos may be taken anywhere in Johnson County, but preference will be given to photos taken on Johnson County Conservation lands or trails.
• Photos must have been taken between: 9/1/16 and 8/30/17.
• Photos must be submitted by 9/4/17.
• There is a limit of 4 photos/person.
• Photo categories include: 1) Under 12; 2) 12-18; and 3) Adult.
• Only digital images can be submitted.
• Photos should be formatted to 1920 pixels on longest side. 
• Recommended resolution between 72 and 100 ppi. 
• Color space: RGB. 
• File type:  Baseline standard JPEG or JPG (not Progressive JPEG or JPG).
• Photos must be under 5 megapixels.
• Written consent must be provided by any recognizable persons in photos.
• Photos may be emailed to:  johnson.co.cons.friends@gmail.com

Winners will be announced at a reception held at the Conservation Education Center in FW Kent Park on September 22, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. At the reception, the judges will discuss the qualities of winning photos and tips for improving nature photography. Any submitted photo may be publicly displayed or posted on the web. Winning photographers will take home a gift certificate to University Camera.
