Pocahontas County Conservation is located in northwest Iowa, and is home to the historic Wiegert Prairie Farmstead. Additionally, the Pocahontas CCB manages 38 individual parks, natural areas, historic sites, lakes and trails encompassing some 2,275 acres across the county. As a county department, their primary goal is to provide a balanced conservation, recreation, and education program to the citizens of Pocahontas County. They are public servants and are entrusted with the mission of "conserving our natural heritage for those who follow."
