Explore the Loess Hills on a technological scavenger hunt during Hitchcock Nature Center's Geocache Bash. Check out a GPS unit to learn how to enter coordinates called waypoints and navigate using an electronic compass. Bring your sense of adventure as you set out in search of hidden caches throughout the park. All experience levels welcome, but hiking may include traversing steep terrain.

Please meet at the Loess Hills Lodge for check in.  Please dress for the weather, sunblock & bug spray are recommended as this event is held outdoors.  Don't forget your water bottle!

Pre-registration is required for this event as space is limited. One GPS unit will be assigned to each family or team, 20 units total. These GPS units will be assigned upon registering for the program on a first come, first served basis. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, July 13th.  

There is no cost for this event. Free will donations will be accepted. 2016 programs sponsored by the Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation.
