January Guided Snowshoe Hike

Strap on some snowshoes & discover your own winter wonderland during the January Guided Snowshoe Hike at Hitchcock Nature Center. Join Pottawattamie County Conservation staff on a snowshoeing adventure through the beautiful Loess Hills on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
This workshop is designed for participants 12 years of age and older.
Snowshoeing requires at least 4 to 6 inches of snow, if there isn't enough snow we will be holding a guided winter hike if trail conditions allow. Pre-registration is required for this event by Thursday, January 12th as space is limited. Save time and register online in minutes or call 712-545-3283 to register by phone.
There is no fee for this event, free will donations will be accepted to support continued programming opportunities in Pottawattamie County. All attendees will need a valid Pottawattamie County Parks annual permit or will need to purchase a $2.00 per vehicle daily entrance pass to enter the park. Daily passes may be purchased with cash at the park gate, or you can purchase your annual permit at the Loess Hills Lodge welcome desk during regular business hours. Weather Permitting.
