Mentor Hunt

Event Summary

This program is designed to give inexperienced deer hunters a hands-on introduction to the sport of deer hunting including the opportunity to harvest a deer in the park with the assistance of a mentor. A multitude of topics are covered to make participants feel comfortable and safe hunting deer in Iowa. Topics covered include deer biology/management, deer hunting equipment/methods, laws, photography, field dressing/game processing and taxidermy. Gun range time is included.
