The Cedar Valley Nature
Trail, from King Road to the Bear Creek Bridge, has been reopened for public
use. This section of trail was closed for the replacement of the Mud Creek Bridge,
box culvert repairs and a large culvert replacement. Contractors have completed
the Mud Creek Bridge Replacement, made the necessary repairs and upgrades to the
large box culvert west of Brandon and have replaced a large culvert east of
Brandon. Phase 2 of the project on this section of trail will be erosion control
measures and finally asphalt paving and is expected to begin this summer. Please watch for trail closures pertaining to
Phase 2 of this project.

possible, in part, through Destination Iowa Grant Funding.
