Butterfly and Bee Water Stations
Hartman Reserve Nature Center, Black Hawk County
Tuesday, September 22, 2020
Butterflies and bees get
thirsty too! We will provide all of the supplies including repurposed plates
and platters (and tumbled stones that you can paint) to create a beautiful
pollinator water station for your garden! We will also try our hand at catching
& identifying butterflies in the adjacent prairie patches next to the
nature center. Hopefully we will catch some migrating Monarchs who are fueling
up on nectar from the prairie flowers. Each registration includes one water
station kit.
This program is acceptable for adults, teens, or upper elementary
students. Participants aged 18 years or younger must be accompanied by an
adult.
**If you are interested in picking up a kit (rather than
staying for the program), please indicate that in the comment section of your online registration. Please contact Lyndsey at landerson@co.black-hawk.ia.us with any questions and to schedule a pick up date (after September 22nd) for your kit.
Cost: $10 per person
