Visiting Artist Nature Poetry and Printmaking Talk with optional Workshop following - ages 8+

Seth Thill, poet-artist and Hartman Reserve Visiting Artist, will present a nature poetry and printmaking workshop on November 13 from 2:00 to 4:30 PM.

2-3:00 -- Seth will read poetry that he wrote while exploring Hartman Reserve, discuss types of poetry, and explain how he drew inspiration for his artwork at Hartman. This is a part of the 2nd Sunday Speaker Series and so there is no charge for this lecture and no need to register.

3:00-4:30 -- The second part of Seth's appearance on November 13 is a workshop from 3-4:30 PM. The workshop is limited to ages 8 and up. No cost for this workshop. Participants will learn about and practice writing their own short-form nature poetry. Participants will also learn about the art of poetry broadsides, and make their own to take home using the poetry they wrote earlier in the workshop. The broadsides in this workshop will be small posters, made using found-object, relief-printing/stamping techniques.
