"Timeless Peru: Landscapes, Wildlife, and Archeological Treasures"

Local photographer John McCormick will be the next 2nd Sunday Speaker on April 23 at 1:30 PM in the Community Room at Hartman Reserve. John’s trip to Peru was the trip of a lifetime, with many opportunities to capture this timeless and astonishing country with his camera. Peru is a cradle of many great, ancient civilizations, where indigenous people continue to honor the wisdom and ways of their remarkable ancestors. John will share photos of spectacular landscapes, diverse wildlife, and a rich culture.

John is a retired computer science professor with a Ph.D. in geology. He has loved photography since 1964, when he was a high school student. His prize-winning photographs of nature, people, and architecture have been exhibited in southern California, northeastern New York, and Iowa.
