OWLS - Landfill Tour

Buchanan County Conservation Offices, Buchanan County

Monday, April 20, 2020

OWLS is a program specifically designed for adults to learn and explore nature in and around Buchanan County.  Have you ever wondered where all of the trash goes that gets put into the garbage?  Tammy Turner from the Waste Trac Education team will be teaming up with a Buchanan County naturalist to give a tour of the Black Hawk County Landfill.  During the tour there will be plenty of talk about how to reduce your trash to be a little more friendly to the earth.  Participants also will learn about the status of recycling programs in Buchanan County.

A carpool will leave Fontana Park at 9:00 a.m.  Limited seating is available in the Conservation Board van.  Please note when registering if you would like a ride.
