Lighted Night Ski

Each year we groom the trails at Heery Woods State Park, line them with candles, and host a night ski event. Whether you want to try cross-country skiing for the first time, or are a seasoned skier, we invite you out to the nature center to take in the winter woodland. We have ski equipment available for those that need it, but you are welcome to bring your own. If you want to ensure that the correct size boots and skis are available for you use, be sure to register online or call and register, and we will set them aside for you. When you register make sure you tell us your shoe size(s) and whether it is men's, women's or children's size. Cost of the event is 1 canned food item per participant to be added to the hobo stew that is served for participants during the event. All ages are welcome.

Volunteers are needed to help participants with ski equipment pick up and return, serving refreshment and checking candles along the trail. Let us know if you are interested in helping. It is a great opportunity for school students to earn volunteer hours.
