Event Summary
10th ~ Spring Prairie Hayrack Ride ~ 7 PM ~ Manikowski Prairie ~ Join Natural Resource Technician Darin Voss and Naturalist Mark Roberts to see a carpet of beautiful pale pink and purple hues of shooting stars, as well as bird’s foot violet and hoary puccoon. This limestone prairie provides an excellent opportunity to explore part of Iowa’s heritage. We will also look at wetland developments and prairie restoration efforts. Meet at Manikowski Prairie’s south entrance, behind Northeast High School. Turn north off Highway 136 onto 370th Avenue.
