Event Summary
Join Hamilton County Conservation Board for a fun afternoon/evening celebrating the settling of Hamilton County by visiting various presenters, touring a log cabin, school house and the Bell's Mill gristmill site. The Boone River is popular today for recreation, but area settlers used its power for grinding grain.
Schedule of Events:
2:00 pm - Settler Fun
- Old Time Kids Games (potato sack races, apple bob, sling shot shoot, pastor plunge, red rover and marbles)
- Hay Rides to Neese Cemetery to view a pioneer cemetery
- Self-guided tour of historic buildings
- School House, Gristmill and Log Cabin
