Grasshopper And Butterfly Safari

Come and join our Hamilton County Naturalist on an insect safari as we walk the trail that goes around the prairie. We will meet at the woodland trail head by Shelter 2 and pass out some butterfly nets. We will focus on finding, catching, observing, and releasing grasshoppers and butterflies that we encounter along the way. We have a limited number of butterfly nets and insect containers so feel free to bring your own. Be sure to put some bug spray and sun screen on before you come. We will discuss the many benefits of insects and their place in the food chain. Register on www.mycountyparks.com to attend. This outdoor program is for all ages to enjoy.
