Adult Groups

Women. Woods. Wine. is a new club for ladies looking to meet with other like-minded individuals to learn new outdoor skills and discuss conservation related topics. At each meeting we will begin with social time and wine followed by a discussion and/or activity on that programs given topic then end with a short hike. Wine will be provided but is limited to 1 glass per person. You may bring your own wine if you would like. Registration is required via mycountyparks.com so we can provide enough supplies. At each meeting you will have an opportunity to purchase a personalized wine glass for $10. Adults 21+ only.

Boys, Backwoods, Beer is a new club for guys looking to meet with other like-minded individuals to learn new outdoor skills and discuss conservation related topics. At each meeting we will begin with social time and beer followed by a discussion and/or activity on that programs given topic then end with a short hike. Beer will be provided but is limited to 1 can/bottle per person. You may bring your own beverage if you would like. Registration is required via mycountyparks.com so we can provide enough supplies. At each meeting you will have an opportunity to purchase a personalized beer mug for $10. Adults 21+ only.

Registration is required for any meeting. If there is interest, we will, hold more meetings in the future.

 *Reminder postcards will be sent each month for those that are interested in the Women. Woods. Wine. or Boys. Backwoods. Beer. program. All dates are subject to change. Final details are announced when postcards are sent. You can also listen to Danika Cox, Naturalist on KILJ radio on the first Thursday of the month for updates for all programs.

Note: All programs are held in the EE classroom of the Oakland Mills Nature Center.
