Oakland Mills Park, South Shore Area


Located in Oakland Mills Park, the South Shore Area features a 30 site campground. All camp sites included a picnic table and fire ring. 24 camp sites have concrete pads and 50A electrical service with water nearby. Six primitive sites are also available, with these sites being walk-in only but parking is nearby.

A campground host is available to assist campers throughout the camping season.



Location

The South Shore Area is located on the south side of the Skunk River at the junction of 255th Street and Franklin Avenue.

Features

Features found in the South Shore Area include a shower house and restroom, a playground, a dump station, and fishing access to the Skunk River.

The Oakland Mills Bridge connects the South Shore to the North Shore Area and a hiking trail, with a swinging bridge, connects to the Top-of-Hill Recreation Area.

Firewood is available from the camp ground host.



Operating Hours & Seasons

This area is open year-round, with the campground open from mid-April to mid-October.
