GROW. GATHER. PRESERVE. - Making Nut Flour

Join Iowa County Conservation and the Iowa County Master Gardeners for the third program in our GROW. GATHER. PRESERVE. program series!

In this program you will be learning how to process tree nuts into flour that can be stored for long periods of time and be ready to use in the kitchen months and even years after your initial harvest of the tree nuts.

We will learn what kind of tree nuts are best for processing into flour and others that might not be the best. The main tree nut we will be focusing on is the chestnut. Each participant will receive an adequate amount of chestnuts locally harvested from Lake Iowa Park from this past fall's harvest to practice making nut flour.

This program is FREE and all ages are welcome.
