Hamilton (Codfish Hollow) Prairie Hike

Hurstville Interpretive Center, Jackson County

Thursday, September 23, 2021

Join Ray Hamilton and Jackson County Conservation for a guided late summer/early fall prairie hike. Codfish Hollow hill prairie is a 60-acre site that offers over 100 native flowering species that are considered unique or uncommon. The landscape cover consists of remnant prairie hilltops, reconstructed prairie, woodland, and savanna components. Site management will be discussed, including protection of sensitive species from harm and promotion of special needs.

The Codfish Hollow Prairie is located across the road, 288th ave, from Codfish Hollow Barnstormers concert venue. We recommend following directions on your GPS to Codfish Hollow Barnstormers.
