Our day camps are lead by our Environmental Education staff. Youth will explore the outdoors, learn about nature, wildlife, plants, and more! Enjoy games, activities, and exploration while spending time outdoors. 

2022 Summer Day Camps

Adventure Camp June 7-9 from 9:00-3:00 each day; for youth entering 4th/5th grade $30

Ranger Camp July 12-14 from 9:00-2:00 each day; for youth entering 2nd/3rd grade $30

Explorer Camp July 19-21 from 9:00-2:00 each day; for youth entering Kind/1st grade $30

Shooting Sports Camp August 2 from 9:00-3:00; for youth ages 11-14 $10

Water Sports Camp August 9 from 9:00-3:00; for youth ages 11-14 $10   

 

  • Day camps are held at the Hurstville Interpretive Center, 18670 63rd Street, Maquoketa, IA 52060. Adventure Camp, Shooting Sports Camp, and Water Sports Camp will have some activities offsite, JCC staff will provide transportation.
  • Registration and payment are due one week before camp starts. Limited space; first come, first served.
  • Campers provide their own lunch.
  • Camp will be cancelled if severe weather, a decision will be made 45 minutes before start of camp.
  • Camp is held outdoors. Youth should bring a reusable water bottle, hat, sunscreen, bug spray and a complete change of clothes & shoes in a backpack. Leave all electronics at home.
