Hurstville Interpretive Center, Jackson County

Wednesday, June 14, 2023

Jackson County Conservation is excited to offer day camps for area youth this summer!

Registration for camps will open Wednesday, March 15 at 9:00 AM.

All registration will be online this year. It is first-come-first-serve.

The link to register is https://jacksoncountyconservation.eventbrite.com - registration for all camps on this site will open at 9:00 AM on March 15.

Select the camp that matches the grade your child is entering next Fall. No exceptions.

Thanks to Friends of JCC, scholarships are available for youth that would otherwise not be able to attend camp because of the cost. Scholarships are available to cover half the cost of camp. To receive a scholarship for your child for camp, contact Jess Wagner at jwagner@jacksoncounty.iowa.gov before registering. You'll receive a code to register online for the reduced rate.

Camp is held outdoors. Please dress for the weather. An email will be sent to participants about what to bring to that specific camp a week before. In general, campers should bring a snack, lunch (if camp goes all day), reusable water bottle, change of clothes and shoes in a backpack. Other optional items to bring include, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and sunglasses. Leave all electronics at home. Phones must stay in their backpacks during camp.

Because camps are held outdoors, in the case of severe weather, camp will be cancelled. A decision will be made 45 minutes before start of camp.
