Adult Voyageur Paddling Trip

June 26-28, 2023

Calling all active and adventurous adults for a 2-day, 3-night paddling expedition in 29-foot Voyageur canoes on the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. In addition to paddling, there will opportunities for hiking, swimming, and fishing. We will be camping on sandbars along the river. Each participant will bring their own food, water, and any other essentials. Each of the two voyageur canoes can hold 7 people, for a maximum of 14 adults for the trip. Some gear, including dry bags, will be provided.

A mandatory meeting for all participants will be held Sunday, June 11 from 1:00-5:00 PM at Rock Creek Marina and Campground near Camanche, Iowa. Participants will have a chance to paddle in the voyageur canoes, learn more about the trip, review the packing list, check-out gear to borrow, and meet other participants.

Trip will begin by meeting at our ending point in Clayton, Iowa at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 26. Leaving some cars there, we will carpool to our starting point near Boscobel, Wisconsin. We will paddle approximately 35 miles over the three days. We will arrive at our ending point late afternoon on Wednesday and shuttle people back to their cars in Boscobel.
