Summer Day Camps 2019

Explorer Camp July 9, 10, 11 (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 9:00 – 2:00 At the Hurstville Interpretive Center. Cost: $35. For youth entering Kdg-1st grade next fall. Have fun learning about nature and wildlife!

Ranger Camp July 16, 17, 18 (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 9:00 – 2:00 At the Hurstville Interpretive Center. Cost: $35. For youth entering 2nd-3rd grade next fall. Have fun outdoors learning about Iowa’s natural resources!

Adventure Camp June 25, 26, 27 (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 9:00 – 3:00 At the Hurstville Interpretive Center. Cost: $35. For youth entering 4th-5th grade next fall. Learn outdoor skills such as paddling, archery and more!

Voyage Camp June 18 at 9:00 am—Wednesday, June 19 at 3:00 pm On the Maquoketa River Cost: $35. For youth entering 6th-8th grade next fall. Youth will learn to paddle a canoe and kayak on the Maquoketa River during this two-day trip and camp overnight on a sandbar!

 

 Registration and payment is due by Friday before camp starts. No late registrations will be taken. Limited space in camps. First come, first served.

 We provide lunch, snacks, and equipment for camps.

 We provide transportation for off site activities for the Adventure & Voyage Camps

 The Maquoketa Art Experience will provide art instruction each day at Explorer and Ranger camps.

 Camp will be cancelled if severe weather, a decision will be made 45 minutes before start of camp.

 Youth should bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, bug spray and a complete change of clothes, shoes and socks in a backpack (kids love to get wet!). Leave all electronics at home.

 Youth should wear clothing and shoes appropriate for the weather and outdoors. We will be outside the majority of the time. No flip flops or other shoes/sandals that would fall off easily.
