Hike & Hygge
Prairie Creek Recreation Area, Jackson County

Join a naturalist the 2nd Sunday of the month this winter for a hike at the park followed by hygge. If snow, we’ll snowshoe. If not, we’ll hike. Find animal tracks, ID winter birds, do some antler hunting, learn about the trail system at the park and enjoy some outdoor activity.

What is Hygge? Pronounced Hoo-ga, hygge is a Danish concept of creating time and space for all things comforting. Warm drinks, soft light, food made with love, cozy clothes and a good book or friend make for a hygge time. You should feel safe and warm. We'll strive to have a bit of hygge time at the PCRA Pavilion with a fire, warm drinks and unhurried conversations. Let's build community, make memories and enjoy the softer side of life.
