CANCELLED:The National Pearl Button Museum tells the story of the pearl button industry at the turn of the 20th century; using mussel shells. Following the museum tour, we'll have a picnic lunch and nature center tour at the Muscatine County Conservation Environment Learning Center. The afternoon will take us on a guided hike to Big Mound Sand Preserve. The sand dunes are home to a unique and diverse ecosystem.
Cost $5 per person. Bring your own sack lunch/beverage.
Dress for weather and be prepared to walk outdoors.
RSVP is required. Carpooling is available from Dubuque, Jackson and Jones Counties.
