Join the Jones County Youth Conservation Crew this summer!
Are you 12-19? Do you enjoy the outdoors and like to work on projects within a park setting? Call to register!
Volunteer on Thursdays in June (June 3, 10, 17, 24) 9am - Noon
Plan to attend all or some of the days this summer and you will receive a 2021 Jones County Youth Conservation Crew T-shirt.
You will have the opportunity to work on invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, brush clearing, bird house monitoring/maintenance, park clean-up, species surveying and monitoring, creating short informational video clips and native plantings and demonstration garden care.
You will also gain skills to last a lifetime as well as friendships and natural resource knowledge. You will also create a stronger connection to the environment. The hours of service can be used for community service hours for the local schools and listed on a resume.
