The Smith Lake enclosed shelter is available for anyone to use on a first come first served basis.  It can also be reserved for a fee of $50.  There are restrooms attached. Inside the shelter are:
  • picnic tables
  •  a counter for food service
  • 120 v outlets
  • 1 -  30 amp outlet
  •  operating windows
  •  air conditioning
  • garbage cans
  • good lighting
  • broom and dust pan
  • concrete floor for easy cleanup

Outside the shelter are:

  • fire rings
  • large charcoal grill
  • more picnic tables
  • water hydrant

 

Location

The shelter is located in the Smith Lake campground.
When traveling to and from the campground shelter:
  •  PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY.
  •  We have many small children that use the campground, and they do not always watch for traffic like they should. 
  • THE SPEED LIMIT THROUGHOUT THE PARK IS 5 MPH FOR THE CHILDREN'S SAFETY

Hours of Operation & Seasons

The shelter is available for use anytime during the camping season between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. The campground normally opens around April 15th, and closes around October 30th, depending on the weather.
