Other Activities at Eastern Iowa Observatory & Learning Center

Visitors are welcome to attend the free Public Observing Nights hosted by CAA members. Each free night includes astronomy related educational programs, observing sessions, and supervised access to permanently mounted telescopes including the 24 inch Boller & Chivens telescope. Scouting groups, school and community groups may also request special programs.

16 inch Meade LX 200 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope that operates robotically.
6 inch refracting telescope

90 mm H-Alpha Solar telescope
Several Dobsonian telescopes (8, 12.5 and 17.5 inch)
