Full Moon Owl Walk

Wickiup Hill Learning Center, Linn County

Wednesday, September 2, 2020

Join us as we learn about some of the common owls of Iowa.  We will see a variety of mounted owls and learn about what makes them “Nature’s Perfect Mousetraps.”  View wings and talons, owl pellets, mounts and more.  Participants will then head down the trail to see if we can carry on a conversation with an owl. The full moon should be rising as we near the end of the hike – it always is fun to view it over the wetland at night. Wear masks as needed and bring hand sani for your groups use. Cost: $1.00/student, $2.50/adult or $5.00/family. Limited spots. Register online by August 31.
