Pop Bottle Bird Feeder - Take and Make Series - Part 1

Wickiup Hill Learning Center, Linn County

Wednesday, January 20, 2021

If you have always thought it would fun to have a bird feeder near your home - this is a possible solution!  On Wed., Jan. 20, 2021 - you can stop at Wickiup between 3 and 5 PM to pick up a kit to construct your feeder at home in maybe 5 minutes. Even the kiddos can construct one with some adult help in the comfort of your own home.  Each kit runs $2.50 a piece.  The bottles will be pre-filled with black oil sunflower seeds to maximize appeal to many kinds of birds.  We have a limited run of kits, participants will take the feeders home and build them - then you can hang them nearby where you can watch to see who shows up.  Brief instructions will be included to guide you through assembly, hanging suggestions, as well as info on the best locations and proper seed to refill the feeder when it gets low.  Most folks learn a great deal simply by observing the birds feeding.  Start a lifetime journey! If you are unable to pickup kits during the specified time leave a note with your registration and we will work with you to find a time that works.
