Winter is for the Birds!

Join Mitchell County Conservation Board Naturalist, Chelsea Ewen Rowcliffe for a fun morning learning about winter birding. This free program will be offered Saturday, December 16th from 9:00-11:00 am at the Milton R. Owen Nature Center, just west of Osage ion Highway 9.

Participants will learn about winter bird feeding, what species are visiting feeders, and how to attract the most birds to your backyard. We will take a quick birding hike, so please dress appropriately for the weather!

We will also be making bird treats to take home. Homemade bird goodies also make a perfect gift for the nature-lover in your life! Please call the nature center at (641) 732-5204 to sign up to ensure we have enough supplies.  Let’s make this winter truly “for the birds”!
