McDonalds Area
McDonalds
Area is located one mile east of Rodney. The park consists of 28.8 acres,
which includes 8 acres of water. In 1977, Peters Construction donated the water
area to the Conservation Board for one dollar. In 1977, the Conservation Board
purchased 20.8 acres from William M. McDonald. Since 1996 the area has been
leased to Bill Peters and Hallett Construction Company for access to land that
is being mined for gravel to the south. When the mining is completed there will
be one large body of water and the south property will be donated to the
Conservation Board. Public access will be allowed when excavation is completed.
Location
Located one mile east of Rodney on Oak Avenue across the bridge from Peters Park to the South.
