Landowner's Prescribed Fire Workshop


Event Summary

**NEW TIME - Please note, we are delaying the class by 1-hour to allow road crews more time, and for participants to arrive safely.

Landowners interested in using prescribed fire as a management tool for prairies and woodlands should attend this class.

Participants can expect to be learning in an indoor classroom setting, as well as a few outdoor sessions. There will NOT be a prescribed burn.

$25 Registration fees cover the cost of food and a materials packet. Online registration is available through Tri-Rivers Conservation Foundation, based in Louisa County. REGISTER NOW

This event is provide by the Great Rivers Alliance of Southeast Iowa. A partnership of both public and private conservation agencies who work together to improve the ability of all people to care for the naturals resources in Southeast Iowa. There will be a diversity of presenters at the workshop, each sharing their experience and expertise.

Disclaimer: This workshop is NOT a certification. It is an educational training to make attendees safer and more knowledgeable about using prescribed fire as a management tool.

Attending this workshop makes participants eligible to check out a fire cache containing wildland firefighting equipment such as bladder bags, drip torches, Nomex suits, and other fire specific tools.
