Starved Rock State Park in Illinois is unlike any park you will ever visit in the Mid-West. We will spend an entire day exploring this amazing park as we hike trails that wind us through 18 towering canyons and lead us to over a dozen breathtaking waterfalls. We will stay two nights in the beautiful 1930’s lodge built by the Civilian Conservation Corp and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Towering pines and century old oaks surround the Lodge and offers visitor all the amenities including, a lounge, café, full restaurant and pool/spa area. A visitor center is located within a short hike of the lodge and offers park history and exhibits. We will also spend an afternoon rafting the Vermillion River, a scenic river that offers relaxing and fun class I and II rapids.

Fee: $375; includes transportation (15 passenger van); rafting equipment, and lodging (double occupancy). Meals not provided. Departure from the Jester Park Outdoor Recreation & Wellness Center. Must be 21 and older and be in good physical condition. Registration deadline is May 15.
