Area homeschool students and educators are invited to join us for a series of field trips designed for homeschool students in Kindergarten to 5th grade. This year's Homeschool in the Hills programming will focus on the world of citizen science, a system of public programs designed to involve budding scientists of all ages in a variety of fields to collect data for scientific use. With numerous projects spanning the entire year there is something for everyone in the world of citizen science. We aim to explore a selection of programs & help you find ways to get involved with the broader scientific community.

Join us on Tuesday, April 7th & explore the wet & wild world of pond ecosystems at beautiful Arrowhead Park in Neola, Iowa. This park features a 17 acre lake that will become our classroom for the day. Participants will learn to check for water quality, search for macroinvertebrates in water samples, & learn to identify frogs by sight & by call.
