Students entering 7th, 8th, & 9th Grade are invited to put their skills to the test during Into the Wild June 23rd through 25th.

DAY #1 - Campers will spend their first day of camp on June 23rd at Arrowhead Park in Neola, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. where they will brush up on their canoeing & water safety skills.

Day #2 & #3 - Our second day of camp on June 24th will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Eddington Memorial Park in Avoca, IA (location subject to change) where we will start a canoe adventure down the West Nishnabotna River Water Trail to Botna Bend Park where will set up camp, cook over a campfire, & spend a night under the stars. Pickup time will be 11:00 a.m. on June 25th at Botna Bend Park in Hancock.

Into The Wild Camp is designed for unaccompanied campers entering grades 7, 8 & 9. Cost is $100.00 per camper & includes park admission, all instruction, canoe & life jacket use, tent, outdoor gear, & two meals.Campers will need to provide a sack lunch for their first & second day of camp. Campers will also need to provide their own sleeping bag & pillow for the overnight stay & bring a change of clothes & toiletries. We also request campers bring a refillable water bottle, sunblock & insect repellent, also recommended are a hat, sunglasses, long pants, & closed toe shoes. Online pre-registration is required as space is limited.

Join us for a summer of fun during Pottawattamie Conservation's 2020 Summer Nature Camps! Camps are offered for youth Pre-K through 9th Grade with a focus on fostering an understanding & appreciation of Iowa's unique environment. Campers will experience traditional summer camp games, outdoor adventures, & skill building activities during these immersive, hands-on camps.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the material needs of each camp we observe the following cancellation policy.
14 Days (or More) Notice - 50% Refund
13 to 8 Days Notice - 25% Refund
7 Days or Less Notice - 0% Refund
To cancel your camp registration please call 712-545-3283 extension 1189 or email environmentaleducation@pottcounty-ia.gov.

*Camps with less than 10 registered campers may be cancelled at the discretion of Pottawattamie Conservation. Camps cancelled by Pottawattamie Conservation will be refunded 100%.

Please meet at Breezy Lodge at Arrowhead Park in Neola, IA on Day #1,  the West Nishnabotna River Water Trail Access Point at Eddington Memorial Park in Avoca, IA on Day #2, & at Olsen Lodge at Botna Bend Park in Hancock, IA on Day #3.
