Maple Tree Tap - 1:00 PM Session

Join us for Pottawattamie Conservation's annual Maple Tree Tap event on Saturday, March 7th at Botna Bend Park in Hancock, Iowa. This program will introduce you to the basics of syrup making from tapping the trees to bottling the final product. If temperatures are cooperative and the sap is flowing participants can even taste the sweet sap as it flows from the tree. 

We will be offering 3 sessions of this all ages program, participants must choose between 1:00, 2:30, & 4:00 p.m. Each program will last approximately one hour. This registration is for our 1:00 p.m. program session, to choose a different program session please return to the program listing & select the correct session time.  

This event will take place both indoors & outside, please dress for the weather & wear appropriate footwear. Cost for this program is $3.00 per person, children 3 & under are free and do not need to register. This fee includes all programming, refreshments, & park admission.

Online pre-registration is required by Wednesday, March 5th as space in this program is limited. Due to the popularity of this program early registration is recommended as walk-in space may not be available on the day of the event. CANCELLATION POLICY
Guests may cancel their reservation for a full refund up to 1 week (7 days) prior to the program date by calling 712-545-3283 & speaking with staff directly. Cancellations received less than 1 week (7 days) in advance of the event will not be refunded. Fees for programs cancelled by Pottawattamie Conservation due to weather or other circumstances will be refunded.

Please meet at Olsen Lodge at Botna Bend Park, weather permitting. This event is not pet friendly, please leave your canine friends at home. Service animals are always welcome.
