Night Out With Nightjars

Join experienced birdwatcher and Pheasants Forever biologist Nic Salick for a special evening hike on Friday, May 17th at 8:00 p.m.Join us at Hitchcock Nature Center for a presentation on the nocturnal bird, the nightjar. Learn more about their unique habits & recognizable call then head outdoors to listen for them in the Loess Hills. 

This program includes both classroom and outdoor units, participants must be age 6 & over. Strollers are not permitted. Please dress for the weather & wear appropriate footwear as this event will involve pedestrian travel over uneven terrain.   

Cost is $10.00 per person & includes park admission. Pre-registration is required for this event by Wednesday, May 15th as space is limited. Please register online. For questions not answered online please call 712-545-3283, reservations will not be taken over the phone.

This event is not pet friendly, please leave your dogs at home. Service animals are always welcome. Weather Permitting.
