Guided Birding Hike

Join experienced birdwatcher and Pheasants Forever biologist Nic Salick for a special evening hike on Wednesday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. Hit the trails on this special birding hike & tune in to the twilight activity of area birds at Hitchcock Nature Center. Listen to evening calls and watch for evening avian activity as the sun goes down.

This program is being presented as part of our adult educational programming, attendees must be age 12 & over. Participants should note this program will be held at Hitchcock Nature Center & will include pedestrian travel over difficult terrain which may, at times be physically challenging. This program will be held outdoors, water bottles, bug spray, & sunblock are all recommended, please dress for the weather & wear appropriate footwear.   

Pre-registration is required for this event by Monday, April 15th as space is limited. For questions not answered online please call 712-545-3283, reservations will not be taken over the phone.

Participants must purchase a $3.00 per vehicle daily entrance pass or have a Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation membership to attend this program. Daily entrance passes may be purchased with exact change or check at the front gate and may be purchased the day of the event. PCF memberships may be purchased for $20.00 from staff at any of our parks, at the Loess Hills Lodge at Hitchcock Nature Center during regular business hours, or at www.pottawattamieconservationfoundation.com. There is no additional fee to attend this program, free will donations are encouraged and will support continued programming opportunities in Pottawattamie County.

This event is not pet friendly, please leave your dogs at home. Service animals are always welcome. Weather Permitting.
