Witchy Woods Walk: Springtime Edition

Join naturalist and folkmagic practitioner Dustin Clayton
for a springtime walk through the Loess Hills on Saturday, April 24th at 12:00
p.m. at Hitchcock Nature Center. This walking discussion will focus on
folkloric practices in springtime. Participants will discuss the plant, animal,
and mineral communities common to our area and some of the ways our ancestors
interacted with these elements of the natural world during this liminal season.
This event is being presented as part of our adult education
programming & is intended for participants age 16 & over. Cost is
$12.00 per person & online pre-registration is required. Registration for
this event will open at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 22nd. For questions not

Participants should note this program will be held at
Hitchcock Nature Center & will at times require pedestrian travel over
difficult terrain; some sessions may be physically challenging. Please dress
for the weather, bug spray & water are recommended.
*In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather
participants will be notified via the email address provided during
registration.
Due to COVID-19 the format of this program has been adjusted.

individuals/family groups

Participants must sign a participation waiver upon arrival
This event is not pet friendly. Please meet at the Loess
Hills Lodge.
Cancellation Policy
Guests may cancel their reservation for a full refund up to
1 week (7 days) prior to the program date by calling 712-545-3283 and speaking
with staff directly. Cancellations received less than 1 week (7 days) in
advance of the event will not be refunded. Fees for programs cancelled by PCC
due to weather or other circumstances will be refunded.
