Wildlings: Brilliant Birds, Afternoon Session

Hitchcock Nature Center, Pottawattamie County

Friday, August 6, 2021

Students age 3 to 5 are invited to join us for Wildlings: Brilliant Birds on Friday, August 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hitchcock Nature Center. Why are some birds so colorful? Do all birds build nests? How do they fly so high? Campers will get the answers to all these questions and more as they learn to use binoculars, climb our observation tower for a bird's eye view, learn about wings, and even meet a live bird friend.

Wildlings Camp is designed for unaccompanied campers age 3 to 5 who have not attended Kindergarten. Camps will be held at Hitchcock Nature Center from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. August 2nd through 6th. Cost is $15.00 per camper per day and includes park admission and all program materials. Online pre-registration is required as space is limited.

We request campers bring a refillable water bottle, have applied sunblock & insect repellent, and wear long pants & closed-toe shoes.

Due to COVID-19 the format of this program may be adjusted. Please check back for updates.

Please note, camps may be attended by students in the listed grades only. No additional students or parents please.
