Hitchcock has been recognized as one of the top 5 hawkwatches in the world for viewing migrating bald eagles and November is the ideal time to view these majestic animals on their journey south. Our program will include live raptor demonstrations by Raptor Recovery, educational programming, & guided hikes. We recommend participants dress for the weather as there will be outdoor programming offered during this event. 

To ensure proper staffing for this event pre-registration is required by Wednesday, November 16th, please register online or by calling 712-545-3283. There is no fee for this all ages event, free will donations will be accepted to support continued programming. All participants will need a valid Pottawattamie County Parks annual permit or will need to purchase a $2.00 per vehicle daily pass to enter the park.  Daily use permits may be purchased with cash the day of the event at the front gate, annual permits may also be purchased the day of the event at the Loess Hills Lodge Welcome Desk  Weather permitting.
