Rock Wildlife Area

This area was added to the management plan in 1979, providing prairie and timber habitat for all wildlife species.  The Rock Wildlife Area spans 188 acres, with the Rock River flowing through a portion of the property.  With its close proximity to town this property is connected to the City of Rock Valley's trail system via an old rail road bed. Hunting is allowed during regular hunting seasons, non hunting season this is a great place to do some bird watching and enjoy an afternoon hike. Or walk in to the river bank and enjoy an afternoon of fishing.
