Dakins Lake Ice Fishing Derby

Zearing Fire and EMS are holding their second annual ice fishing derby from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (on-site registration will begin at 7:00 a.m.).
The event is dependent on weather and ice conditions. **UPDATE** as of 2/8/17, the event is still taking place as planned
Over $2500 in prizes will be awarded including raffles, tagged fish and largest fish categories plus a chili lunch & more!
Proceeds will go to the Veterans Ball Field for a new score board.

In addition to the individual competition, teams made up of active Fire & Rescue, EMT, Public Safety, or Armed Service personnel may enter for additional prizes (Family and friends of personnel may not participate on the team but are welcome to participate in the primary derby). Each team member must be registered in the primary derby.
