Evening Prairie Walk

Doolittle Prairie, Story County

Thursday, August 23, 2018

Join Dr. Thomas Rosburg on monthly prairie walks at the largest prairie remnant in Story County. See rare and common prairie flora that changes each month and learn about the history and ecology of central Iowa prairies. Long pants, sturdy shoes, and bug spray are recommended.

These walks are free, and no registration is required.

Prairie Walks are family friendly but not stroller friendly.

For any outdoor program, SCC recommends bringing a water bottle, wearing a hat and/or sunblock, and dressing for the weather.  Our outdoor programs are weather dependent and may be cancelled if conditions are not favorable.
