Archery for Beginners

Come learn about the ancient sport of archery. Using compound bows and target arrows, we will discuss equipment, safety, and go through the process of shooting. After that, participants will practice their skills shooting at targets. This program is for ages 10 and up.
The archery range is located on 255th Street on the south side of Hickory Grove Lake. A map will be emailed to participants.

Unless otherwise stated, refunds can be issued less a $5.00 processing fee per event for cancellations prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made after the registration deadline. To cancel a registration, please call (515)232-2516.

In response to the ongoing development of COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation and face coverings mandatory when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
