Fall Fungus Foraging

Fall is the best time of year to find wild edible mushrooms and other interesting fungi. We’ll hike on and off the trails at McFarland Park searching for the fungus among us.
This event is open to all levels of mushroom enthusiasts;no experience is necessary! All ages are welcome but it is recommended for those 12 years of age and older.
This event is free, but registration is required by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday,September 7, 2017.
Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes.
For any outdoor program, SCC recommends bringing a water bottle, wearing a hat and/or sunblock, using bug spray, and dressing for the weather. Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended for hiking. Our outdoor programs are weather dependent and may be cancelled if conditions are not favorable. In the event that SCC has to cancel a program, registered participants will be notified and a full refund will be issued.
