Explore your Outdoors: Camouflage!

McFarland Park, Story County

Saturday, October 27, 2018

(Previously scheduled for 10/13)

Join Naturalist Jess Lancial as we discover and explore the amazing survival strategies of camouflage. We will search of camouflage animals, and create and hide some camouflage critters of our own. This program is for children ages 5 and up plus their adult.

Participants must be dressed to go and explore (long pants and closed-toed shoes are required).

Snacks and water will not be provided, but please feel free to bring your own.

The event is free but space is limited.  Registration is required by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018.

We will be hiking in the woods, and prairie so long pants and closed toed shoes are required.

For any outdoor programs, SCC recommends bringing a water bottle, wearing a hat and/or sunblock, using bug spray, and dressing for the weather.  Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended for hiking. Our outdoor programs are weather dependent and may be cancelled if conditions are not favorable.  Refunds for paid programs are given in the event that SCC has to cancel the program.
