The first of the FLOATs (Fun-Loving Outdoor Adventure Team) teaches campers basic outdoor skills while preparing for the higher level FLOATs. Fishing, canoeing, map reading, cooking, and other skills will be taught.

This camp is only for children that are completing 3rd or 4th grade in the spring of 2019. Children may only be registered for one FLOAT I camp.

This is a two-day camp on ​Thursday, ​August 1 & Friday, August 2. Camp will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. both days.

Registration begins on Saturday, April 13 at 8:00 a.m. Adding your child to the waiting list prior to April 13 will not hold a place for them. Please wait until April 13 when online registration opens.

IMPORTANT: Mandatory health forms will be sent via email to those registered along with camp details. Health forms must be returned to SCC at least one week prior to camp in order for your child to participate. To cancel a registration, please call (515) 232-2516. Refunds will only be issued for cancellations received at least five business days prior to the camp.

Nature camp t-shirts:These are available on a pre-paid basis only; we will not be ordering extras.
